0 Part-time 11 days ago Full Job Description JOB The Dougherty County Public Library has a position for an IT Support Specialist.
An employee in this position is responsible for assisting the IT Manager with hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Applicants must have experience installing and maintaining Windows operating systems and Microsoft software.
Employee reports directly to the IT Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class.
Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Assist IT Manager in assuring that installations, equipment, and network, and support applications like Library ILS system and G-suite, are working at optimum performance.
Provide IT support to all 5 branches of the DCPL system.
Provides ongoing training for updates and enhancements for both public and staff.
Assist with the imaging and installation of computers and equipment.
Additional duties include familiarizing the public with personal computer operation, internet searching and accessing informational databases.
Works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Ensures all equipment utilized by the public is in good working order on a daily basis.
Assist the public with the use of library technology and library ILS systems.
Library customer service as needed Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Requires an Associate's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field with two (2) years of work experience or four (4) years of experience in a technology related area or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, experience, skill and ability to do the work of the position.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Windows Server, WordPress, & Photoshop, and Hypertext markup language (html) desired.
Ability to use Microsoft Remote Installation Services (RIS).
Must have the ability to learn new and emerging technologies and train library staff on the use of new equipment.
Experience with 3D printer operation and maintenance is desirable.
Desirable certifications include CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, and Microsoft Office Specialist.
The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License and transport computer equipment consisting of a CPU, printer and monitor (weighing up to 35 pounds) is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
