CBAIA is seeking an Equipment Specialist to provide support to Marine Corps Systems Command, PdM Tactical Communication Systems (TCS).
Provide fielding and lifecycle operations for the Tactical Hand-Held Radio Program.
Enter part numbers and National Stock Numbers (NSN) into Marine Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (MICAPS) for provisioning data.
Publish stock list and direct shipments of assets to the Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF).
Collect, analyze, and interpret equipment information.
Provide technical information, guidance and recommendations related to repair and maintainability during acquisition, fielding and sustainment for the program.
Identify and recommend practical solutions to engineering design and manufacturing defects; recommend use of substitute testing or support equipment.
Responsible for provisioning of spare and repair parts.
Request and catalog secondary repairable components through the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS).
Analyze equipment data for the purpose of cataloging parts as well as revising equipment maintenance programs.
Give disposition instructions of equipment after reviewing recoverable item report.
Resolves Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR).
Works with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), using the Marine Corps Equipment Readiness Information Tool (MERIT), for gathering readiness information.
Bachelor degree and 5 years of Equipment specialist experience. Additional related experience may substitute for education.
Knowledge of MICAPS and experience with provisioning data is required.
Experience with TFSMS required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required.
