General
Summary:
The Planner is responsible for coordinating and influencing cross-functional resources to increase operational efficiency through timely planning, scheduling and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance and project activities. This may include labor, contractor, materials and tools resource allocation and balancing, and the coordination and influencing of all levels of leadership within the operations and maintenance organization.
Essential Functions & Skills:
Primary focus is to maximize efficient use of available resources through prioritization, coordination and scheduling of maintenance and project activities.Candidates need to be competent in Maximo CMMS. This position is responsible for directing the long-range planning and development program tensure the best use of organization resources in defining and planning goals, objectives, and programs for the achievement of organization and growth profitability. The incumbent uses communication and negotiation skills to influence local management and external audiences on issues with a significant local impact. Makes decisions related to the project timing, approach and resources, and contributes the business results through responsibility for the end results of multiple large projects or initiatives. Conducts surveys and performs project research regarding impact of proposed projects. This level is viewed as an expert within a subspecialty and generally competent within the broad discipline. Develops staff. Manages large project resources in terms of the Planning aspects.
o Working knowledge of safe work practices
o Purchasing experience related to maintenance
o Responsible for asset tracking via the CMMS, entering additions, changes and deletions into CMMS
- Understanding equipment hierarchy and application
- Understanding of the structure of Bills of Material and application
o Identifies appropriate PM requirements and maintaining CMMS with up to date tasks and frequency data
- Understands the application of routes
- Understands and is able to employ UE, Vibration Analysis and other various predictive maintenance practices
- Has experience in Condition Based Maintenance
- Experienced in RCM Techniques in PPM refinement
o Experienced in estimating material and resources in both facility maintenance and food manufacturing process
o Has experience in Management Of Change processes
o Has understanding of steam systems
o Coordinates appropriate resource planning and scheduling including required labor, subcontractors, materials and tools to support maintenance and project activities
o Manage back-log by priority, craft, and criticality
o Forecast back-log to determine resource requirements and make recommendations to leadership on allocation of resources
o Creates and presents key reports and metrics to monitor operational efficiency and productivity
o Builds customer relationships and periodically reviews work performance
o Coordinates communications with customers
o Responsible of alignment of resources with the clients priorities
o Is experienced in operating within clients' budget structure and distributing cost across multiple budgets
o Manages Good Manufacturing reports and ensures accurate prioritization of coded work
o Organizes material requirements and delivery with operational schedule
- Manages material reports to maximize resource allocation
o Prioritizes work requirements and assures appropriate response

o Evaluates equipment maintenance history and recommends appropriate courses of action
Required
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
o Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Advanced MS Excel User
o Intermediate to Advanced MS Word User
o Intermediate to Advanced MS Access User
o Intermediate to Advanced MS Project User
o Intermediate to Advanced MS Visio User
o Intermediate to Advanced MS Power Point
o Intermediate to Advanced SAP Maintenance User
o At least 3 Years Advanced CMMS User
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
o B.S degree in technical field and M.S. degree, or equivalent experience.
o 15 years' experience
o AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners)
o NEPA/CEQA (National Environment Policy Act/CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
