Service Desk Specialist

Service Desk Specialist Service Desk Specialist CGI Federal is looking for a Service Desk Specialist to work in our Albany, GA location.
Duties include:
o Must be capable of providing Tier I and basic Tier II support to customers with hardware, software, and application problems.
o Can work through all types Tier II issues with telephone assist.
o Capable of running an entire remote independently with demanding customers in austere locations.
o Must be cable to load cryptographic keys and perform basic troubleshooting on many types of hardware.
- Maintain end user, network infrastructure, and system equipment (hardware and software) in accordance with best practices, regional policy, and DoD guidelines so that that users may access SIPRNet resources.
- Track all work through the region's trouble ticket tracking system.
- Perform hardware and software installation, updates,configuration, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Provide diagnostic assistance to identify root causes and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Provide operations and maintenance support for all IT equipment, to include network servers, PCs, printers, scanners, portable computers,switches, routers, Secure Mobile Environment Portable Electronic Devices (SMEPEDs), desktop video systems/video teleconference and projection systems, docking stations, any external peripherals (e.
CDROM-R/DVD, CDROM-RW, CAC readers,etc.
), and other miscellaneous IT equipment.
- Install, relocate, connect, disconnect, upgrade and maintain computer systems hardware, software, documentation, and peripheral devices.
- Other duties as needed to support Tier I support functions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an IT related field and a minimum of 1 year of directly related work experience in a DOD classified environment with knowledge of cryptographic hardware, be familiar with network equipment, cabling, etc.

OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 5 year of directly related work experience in a DOD classified environment with knowledge of cryptographic hardware are familiar with network equipment, cabling, etc.
may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Additional Requirements:
o Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
o Possession of an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance is required to begin employmentUS Citizenship is required.
o A+ or Network + Certification is required.
o Must be able to obtain Security+ Certification within 60 days from start, if candidate does not currently meet this requirement.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
