Sales - Product Support Service Representative #15-0069
The primary purpose of this position develop our parts and service sales for the Legacy truck engine owner (engine age 6-12 years) business at our shops in the assigned YPS branch geographical area. This includes prospecting for Glider Kit builds and Yard Spotter product sales/rentals as well as parts and service sales.
The secondary purpose of this position is to resolve customer satisfaction issues, and become our in house territory expert on all matters relating to vintage, non-current engines in use through out the territory
This position will also be responsible for working with our shops to increase their responsiveness to customer needs, work with his manager to develop product support marketing programs and secure business relationships that lead to Yancey being the preferred supplier of parts and service.
Duties include but not limited to:
1) Increase product support sales by identifying and calling on legacy engine owners to sell the value differentiation of genuine CAT parts and service as
well as full chassis repairs.
2) Resolve customer parts and service satisfaction issues
3) Assist Yancey truck shops in increasing partsand service effectiveness by communicating customer needs and introducing P/S marketing programs and developing glider kit, Tico and non-Cat service opportunities
4) Assess and report significant product support market trends as well as record call activity in SalesLink
5) Work with Truck Marketing on mailings, promotions, telemarketing, CAT care meetings, etc. and attend training and industry events as required
Requirements:
Exemplary customer relation skills and persuasive abilities including closing skills.
Understanding of the used truck market, service operations, and parts operations.
Self discipline for time and territory management.
A technical and mechanical understanding of the operations and terminology of various truck/chassis systems.
Education and
Experience:
High School or GED
3 to 5 years related sales experience in heavy duty automotive industry or Commercial Truck product support industry.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
