Clinic Representative - Phoebe Family Care Center (Full Time/Days)

Job SummaryScreens and refers all incoming calls and patients, manages patient flow, maintains current medical records, enters charges and payments, transcribes medical information and correspondence, files insurance and worker's compensation claims, pursues collections daily, patient billing, and orders supplies.
Assists doctors with all patient procedures including, but not limited to, EKGs, specimen collections, and injections.
Must have knowledge and skills of all processes of a medical office, clinical and non-clinical.
All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe.

Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
Must have working knowledge of entire medical practice with the ability to transition to other areas within medical office without difficulty.
Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelinesWorking Conditions General environment\:
Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
