Electrician - Journeyman Electrician
(Industrial / Instrumentation/ Automation)
We are currently hiring for Electricians in our plant operation locations, including Albany, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Chippewa Falls & Milwaukee Wisconsin; Eden, North Carolina; Elkton, Virginia; Fort Worth, Texas; Golden, Colorado; Irwindale, California and Trenton, Ohio.
As an Electrician at MillerCoors, you will be responsible for performing electrical, electrical controls, instrumentation, and instrumentation control operations. In this role, you will also oversee a portion of the mechanical duties, including set-up, adjustment, calibration, tuning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance inspections, and overhaul.
In an effort to reduce any unplanned downtime, you will work with planners to make necessary improvements in equipment. Additionally, you will use data to determine root-cause failures, and strive to correct the problem versus just the symptom, ensuring all work is documented in CMMS - SAP on a timely basis.
Additionally, our Electricians have responsibilities in these (3) core areas:
Electrical Craft Work: performing set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement and programming of electrical equipment. You will dismantle, inspect and rebuild electrical assemblies to ensure conformity to specifications and production requirements.
Instrument Tech Craft Work: performing set-up, adjustment, calibrations, ranging, PID control, programming and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment and measurement equipment.
Electrical / Instrument Tech Craft Additions: performing all duties in accordance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, NFPA 70E, Electrical Lockout/Tagout/Tryout safety procedures, codes, policies and regulations, and Confined Space Entry Policies. Ensure that the waste disposal and accumulation requirements as outlined by the HAZMAT policy are followed.
Skills Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Industrial Journeyman card and license in Georgia with heavy industrial electrical, electrical controls, instrumentation and PLCs/PACs
Proficiency in the use of the following test instruments: volt/ohm multi-meters, amp meters, meggers, transducers, oscilloscopes and PLC/PAC based program/diagnostic panels
Experience with PLCs/PACs, and variable frequency drives
Experience with the use of hand tools specific to electrical/electronic/controls field, as well as mechanical hand tools
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and physical and written skill assessment
