I am currently employed by Equity Group of Camilla as a lead in the Logistics Department. As the lead I am responsible for making sure the day to day activities are being taken care of and filling in wherever is needed. My main job is a pallet jack and forklift operator. I do a two man job by myself in a fast paced environment. I move product from place to place and store products in the freezer. I started working for Equity Group in May of 2008 and am currently still employed there.
Before Equity Group I was employed with Malone's Paint and Body shop of Albany. While there I was responsible for the teardown and rebuilds of wrecked vehicles. My main responsibilities were to take the damaged areas of the vehicle off and store them for later use. When the vehicles were finished I would rebuild the doors, bumpers and fenders and have them ready for customer pick-up. I was with Malone's for 8 months before leaving.
In 2000 I was employed with Timken Corp. of Canton, Georgia. I started as a CNC Operator. During my time with Timken I not only operated CNC Machines, I also did the material handlers job as well as Quality Assurance. I was part of the Quality team which traveled to our customer plants to gather information on how we could better serve them as a supplier. We then took that information back to our plant and made changes. I was a back-up Team Leader for 5 years before becoming a Supervisor for one year. As the supervisor I oversaw 12 employees. I was not able to solve all the problems employees were having but I would brainstorm with them to get the issue resolved. I left after 8 years of employment because of family issues. I did leave on good terms.
I am a hard worker that gives 110 % to everything I do. I believe that no matter what I do there might be someone else out there that can do my job better and I don't like giving a reason for my bosses to look for that person. No matter what is put in front of me I will do my best to get the job done in a timely manner. I believe that I can learn to do anything I put my mind to. I have also found that if I don't know how to solve the problem, talking to others can be very helpful.
